Festivals fireworks

Work consisted of meetings on planning, job descriptions, legal contracts and investigations into a range of issues.

The evening involved heading to the Mound for the annual end of fesitvals fireworks.

While busy it did not seem as crowded as in previous years - perhaps the early evening rain put people off.  And there was increased security to protect people from vehicles forcing their way down the Mound.

All passed off well - and some of the new fireworks were fascinating.  Starbursts that were very short lived: fireworks that exploded then sped up sharply; brilliant colours - all choreographed to the music.  A great display and an impressive end to the festivities.

The blip may not be very bright but I like the colours.  The extras show the waterfall and part of the finale.

Just hope there are no fireworks at the Audit and Risk Committee meeting tomorrow!
