Portland day 1

We drove down to Portland for the bank holiday weekend, sun shining and ideas of adding 20-30 routes to our climbing logbooks. Upon starting the first climb I realised this was a lofty ambition, the routes here are longer than I am used to, on different rock and feel pretty exposed due to longer spacing between the bolts. I was soon struggling and pumped on what should have been a warm up! I'm not built for the heat so maybe that had something to do with it, and damn it felt high. This was frustrating but also not really a bother, I was happy to have timed the trip right and to be in a beautiful place during the nicest weather we've had for a while; we could have been in the Med!
