Arbroath Abbey

This is the classic view of Arbroath Abbey, there's a more unusual view in the extras. My dad and I had a great day in Arbroath. We wandered around the harbour, had lunch on the high street, went to the Abbey, visited my dad's cousin and had a short walk out the cliffs.

Although I visited Arbroath several times a year while my grandparents were alive, I hadn't been into the Abbey since I was about 9. We were lucky and while we were there, the clouds broke up and the sun lit up the lovely red sandstone of the Abbey.

It's exactly a year since I left London to start my Big Trip. And tomorrow I start driving back to London and to reality. I go back to work on 1st September...
