I had to do it

After a round table discussion about wellbeing, health and happiness and various bit of office admin my wife and I decided to head for the new Queensferry Crossing after dinner.

She and our son - and the dog - had crossed earlier in the day and gone to the beach.

Having seen the first Forth Road Bridge going up and remembering its opening I did not want to miss the experience (especially as I'd missed out on the walking event this coming weekend).

Fortunately, the hour long queues had eased. The light was fading so the shots I took had some slight blur. But I hope this blip conveys the scale of the towers and the elegance of the crossing. A new icon to add to the Scottish landscape.
