The Future is Analogue
The Agfa CLACK, being used very effectively by the younger generation! ;)
I bought a job lot of vintage cameras for a fair I'm attending this weekend, and this was one of the cameras included. Some facts and figures first of all:
Produced: 1954-65 Agfa-Werk AG, Munich, Germany
Film type: 120
Picture size: 6x9
Weight: 11.4oz (323.2g)
Lens: single element meniscus (about 95mm?)
Focal range: 1m to 3m with close-up setting, otherwise 3m - infinity
Filter size: built-in yellow filter (early models), accepts 30mm slip-on filters
Aperture: f11 (early model) or f11 + f16 (later model)
Shutter: self-cocking type, spring w/sliding aperture disc
Shutter speeds: one speed, 1/35, plus B
Viewfinder: simple direct viewfinder
Exposure meter: none
The specimen I have is in surprisingly good condition, could do with a little bit of a clean and dusting otherwise it's good to go. Can't wait to get some 120 film and start playing with my first medium format camera. You never know, one of it's shots could end up as my 365 (if planned well in advance!)
Here are some outstanding samples from this simple but effective tin box.
