70th Birthday Lunch

My oldest friend, we've known each other since we were 11 when we met at secondary school celebrated her 70th birthday today in St Albans. It was lovely to meet her children again and other family members and friends. Fifty years ago I was her bridesmaid and although for the majority of the intevening years we have lived at opposite ends of the country we have seen each other almost every year. A great friend. The birthday was celebrated in style with a delicious three course lunch and wonderful affirming speeches. Certainly a day to remember.
