Inferior Quality

This is the façade of one of the buildings on Kirkcaldy's Esplanade.

The shallow angle of the sunlight drew my attention to the texture of this surface where exposure to wind and salt spray has caused differential weathering. Several of the sandstone blocks are obviously of inferior quality and their softer composition has resulted in greater erosion.
