Workings of the Sand Fairy

I photographed the sandstone outside this building 8 years ago.
Then it was derelict and iron fittings and screws previously inserted into the sandstone had corroded, expanded and cracked the sandstone.
I called it 'Psammead' and it can be seen here on Flickr.

Since then, the building has been renovated and is now used as offices.  All the old iron has been drilled out and replaced by sandstone cores of the same diameter.

I liked the abstract arrangement of this small area.
