Barley at Wasdale (Day 849)

It was another fine morning as I took the dogs up the hill this morning, though hanging around to take pictures was not really an option as the bastard midges were out in force again.
After a few little jobs at home, I headed to Orphir to have a look at a bathroom re-fit and to give the potential customer some advice and to discuss their ideas. It all seems fairly positive, so fingers crossed I will get the work once they have decided what they want. From Orphir, I trundled to Stromness to look at another little job, which I will return to sometime this week.
I popped in to Mum and Dad for a short visit before heading home for lunch and a wander with the dogs at Wasdale. The weather was lovely and a gentle breeze kept the midges at bay, and ruffled the barley.
Back at home I spent ages cutting the grass which has been untended for too long, and was too long. I finished off the afternoon with a bit of wood butchery to strengthen the rack I made for our kayaks.
I await the return of my beautiful wife from a hossing thing...
