High cirrus over Marwick (Day 850)

We had an early start this morning as my beautiful wife had a hossing thing to do. I got a couple of things done at home before heading to town and to a blissfully empty Tesco. 8am on a Sunday is definitely the best time to go!
Back home, and after a couple of chores, I collected the woofers and headed across to Mum and Dad's where I spent a fairly long time getting the strimming done. The wind was pretty strong and there were a couple if times I found myself fighting to stay upright whilst slightly off balance and wielding the strimmer.
Job done I scooted back home for a quick lunch then back out again for a walk with the dogs at Skaill. The very strong wind threatened to steal my hat and shove me into the fence a couple of times, but it was warm enough despite the wind. I can never resist a shot of the sky when there is some high cirrus about and today was no exception. The view looking north along the west coast was fabulous.
On the way back to the van I managed to find a bit of stone which will hopefully be ok for a carving commission.
I arrived home to find HV back from hossing.
It has been a busy day. It must be beer o'clock...
