what lies beneath

En-route from Hull to our next overnight stop in Selby for tomorrow’s bike ride, we met up with Riversider and Jankerman at Burnby Hall Pocklington.

The gardens hold a national collection of hardy water lilies.  And what lies beneath, causing the ripples in the water, is a vast number of monster carp, ready to leap out of the water demanding food.  (Really).  Safely behind bars was a Zebra Finch.  (see extras).

It was a beautiful day and the gardens were quite magnificent.  We sat in the sunshine and chatted more than we walked.  And we walked a fair bit.  So - a fairly typical blip-meet.
