How can one day be like the height of summer and the next be so chilly?

We have been to the Forest of Dean today to visit my M-in-Law.

The weather was diabolical! Thankfully, Mother is very well and lunch at The Cross was excellent.

This photo was taken coming back into England from the Severn Crossing - just before we joined an enormous traffic jam that stretched all the way to the Bath junction!
