Smoke Filled Sky, Sun withSunspots

I'm told today was the most smoke polluted air in the last 25 years.
The sun appeared dimmed and increasingly red throughout the day here in the Willamette Valley.
About 6pm I made this photo with -3 exposure compensation to capture the Sun's red color correctly.
I was amazed to see sunspots on the face of the sun.
We have several more smoke filled days ahead of us.
I'm very sad for all those people and animals who are far more heavily impacted by the many fires that are burning.
