Harvest time
The allotment continues to provide produce for the Simpson kitchen, and for some others too, especially when it comes to a glut of courgettes and cucumbers. Colin has spent the weekend harvesting and tidying up before our imminent holiday and I've been pickling beetroot and making chutney, jam and three varieties of soup, now frozen and ready for autumn when we get back from Turkey. The extra shot shows the result of his efforts!
