The Thing...

Katie was 17 today but I figured I’d not subject her to having her photo taken twice in little more than week, enigmatic smile or not. We bought her a camp blanket from girlguiding.com and a Hogwarts notebook to go with the obligatory promise of Driving Lessons, her mum made her a killer cake (caramel and chocolate cheesecake decorated with halved crème eggs) and despite the offer of  whatever she wanted for tea she was happy to stay home and eat her dad’s scampi and chips…


Elsewhere, various energetic plans for the afternoon diminished into watching the Triathlon Relay on the telly, walking the dogs and trogging round Aldi… Aah, the weekend!
