Newstead

We watched the first 40K of Stage One of the Tour of Britain on ITV4 and then took our own little trip out to Newstead before getting back in time to catch the last 20K – meaning they’d done about 130K whilst we notched up our leisurely 21 miles. I suppose they didn’t stop in the middle for a sandwich and a cup of tea. And later on we rounded out what had inadvertently turned into ‘Cycling Sunday’ with tea in front of today’s Vuelta highlights…

Also, it was Harry's Birthday - the Boys had Swiss Roll and it took him an hour and a half to get through the rope that held his new toy together...
