Perky

How come pansies can look so perky even on dire days?

Coco the cat isn't feeling perky because she is shut indoors. This morning no fewer than four tiny field mice have been brought in, alive and well but petrified, and released so that they can conveniently run behind the TV and any other inaccessible place. My knight in shining armour has managed to catch each of them and put them back outside but now we have decided that enough is enough and Coco is confined to barracks. She is prowling, and moaning, as only a Burmese can!
