Twechar

Our Tuesday walk with Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Ramblers started and ended at Auchinstarry Marina. From Nethercroy Woods we walked towards, and then round, Bar Hill in Twechar (we didn't go up this time) before dropping down through the village and back to Auchinstarry along the Forth & Clyde Canal (pictured).

The morning started overcast and that turned to persistent, but light, drizzle about midway through our walk and intermittent showers thereafter. The afternoon, however, i.e. after we had all returned home, was bright and sunny. Some you win...

Still a lot of green vegetation around, as you can see from the photo, but there are definite signs of autumn on some of the trees and in the fields.
