Serenity

Went to the photographic group this morning and as it was a lovely day decided to call in at the local country park. I was able to get some lovely photos and had a hard job choosing which one to blip ( how different from yesterday!).
I had just returned home, was on the doorstep with my arms full of handbag, jacket, large cabbage (as you do), keys in my hand when a pair of mating dragonflies settled briefly on the wall at the side of me - well I say they were mating, that is just an assumption, they were joined together in a fantastic shape and really going for it exuberant, they could have been fighting. So, not wanting to miss a chance, I dropped everything, grabbed my camera out of my bag and ran after them. They kept flying and stopping very, very briefly and only went far enough to taunt me - if any of my neighbours are blippers they had plenty of material today! After chasing them for a couple of minutes without success they flew over the garage roof and into my back garden, so I quickly opened the front door , ran through the house to the back door - NO KEYS! - hubby had hidden them from burglars because we were both out, I couldn't find them anywhere, so no dragonfly blip for me :-( Eventually found them under a bag of cooking apples in the kitchen ( burglars please note they are in a different place each time). I decided on this swan in the end because it is everything that I wasn't - calm, collected and serene!
