The super duper squirrel proof bird feeder

I can't catch a bird on the feeder for some reason..namely Gypsy goes to the window when I try to get a photo out the window thinking it is a squirrel!    But squirrels are no longer eating the bird seed as it is too high and too far..too high for them to jump straight up or from the trees or deck.  The poles are PVC and 2 inch wide..too wide for their paws and the swirl of vinyl keeps them from getting up any further even if they could grab it.   This really looks tacky silly but it works.  All made from scraps we had here in the shed (don't even ask about all the stuff in the shed!).    Plus there may have been a turkey on it!

We are waiting to see what is happening in our state when Irma gets closer.  Praying for Florida either way..friends and family there that I hope will be safe and their homes too.    We will know something by tomorrow or Friday if we need to be ready for a major hit of this gigantic storm.  Hugo was in 89 and we will never forget the devastation that storm brought to South Carolina.    Also praying for rain in the Western states where hundreds of thousands of acres of forest has burned, homes lost, animals killed and a few people lost their lives.    Breathing has to be hard in those areas!
