No Taps Allowed

I did look and there were no taps (spigot or faucet, I believe, for those across the pond) to be found. So the sign must be working.
It actually means don't drink the water. The sign is on a fountain that is currently not working in Queen Eleanor's Garden. Set in a small secluded area behind the Great Hall, Queen Eleanor's Garden is a modern reconstruction of a 13th Century garden, it was opened in July 1986 by Her Majesty the Queen Mother. Named after Eleanor of Provence, Henry III´s Queen, the garden uses plants and materials that would have been familiar to gardeners of that period. When working there is a delightful fountain and rill, the garden was closed because there was a risk from falling masonry and although the garden is open the water feature is not operational.
I like the colours and textures on the brass and granite. I had to splash some water on to it to recreate the effect I liked so much yesterday.
