Home is where the heart is

Another day out in the field, this time more exploring and recording of old houses- with permission! Five of us ventured forth - drawing, measuring, photographing, interviewing, tapping walls, looking up chimneys, minding the dogs. I got to use the laser measurer thingy - you just point, zap and a measurement appears. I liked it. 
A very interesting old house - dating before 1840, renovated later in the 19th century, more work done possibly in the 1950s and more done a bit later than that. Last occupied 7 years ago. A real home and I just loved the ducks and the message over the range. 
We repaired to the orangery of Bantry House for our lunch - Lady Bantry in residence, see extra.
