Boone Hall Plantation
We left Charleston this morning to make the long drive to Atlanta, on the way we visited Boone Hall Plantation.
The Plantation was founded in 1681 for indigo originally and then cotton.
There were 27 brick built slave huts that could house up to 16 slaves in each one.
The Colonial Revival mansion was built in 1935 and has featured in 'The Notebook' Nicholas Sparks film.
Another great & informative day.
Atlanta tomorrow :-)
