Views from my Tuscan windows No.8

Yes. A view out the huge glass door of the apartment to our olive trees. Maybe one day I'll  do the view from the garden.

Today I spent a few hours acquainting myself with the ins and outs of caring for a marble sink surround. Staining is less a problem than the etching away of the fine ground surface which gives marble tops their shine. I read about porosity and capillary structures, sealants and re-grinding with diamond abrasives.

Later I took a drive down to my favourite co-op at Le Caldine to stock up. Wine and kitchen towel in huge rolls were on special members' discounts so I availed myself of both.
