High energy Spanish dancing

Last night I had a great time playing with the band at a ceilidh in Stoke on Trent. It was arranged by a morris side that had a visiting dance team from Aragon in Spain. The ceilidh was a sell out and the hall packed with brilliant dancers.

The Spanish dancers did a demonstration of their dancing during the evening, it was incredibly energetic with lots of stick clashing and super music to accompany them. The still shot didn't do it justice but guves the idea. They also taught the rest of the dancers a couple of their simpler dances. Apparently their costumes were beautiful but I didn't see those.

We had a supper of pie and peas or fish and chips so they tasted some traditional British food too. It was a super night that everyone seemed to enjoy!
