Hot

This is Ben, another one of our farm dogs. He was helping get the cows in for milking this afternoon, when I found him sitting in the shade panting. He was hot -it was a lovely 24 degrees. You may not think that is hot, but it is for September for us. Not that we are complaining, it was fantastic. The calves were enjoying sunbathing in the warmth, and the little ducklings were having a great swim on the pond.

It's the start of the school holidays here in New Zealand. The children have two weeks off. We don't have anything planned for the holidays, except perhaps the odd day trip to Nelson - how exciting! lol. Unfortunately, we have a few cows still calving, and because of this we can't do any overnight trips until they have finished.
