Season's End

Nooooooooooooooooooo!

Rounders is probably, finally, almost-definitely, unequivocally looking like it's over for the year* as the nights are closing in and it's getting too dark to see the ball. You don't appreciate how potentially bad that is until you can't see one flying at you. Still it was a nice way to end the season, both official and unofficial, I managed to hit 5 rounders in a row which I've not done since early games, and I am counting the flukey one where I hit it straight at someone but was dropped!

The challenge with today's shot is to spot the ball... Stu (the batter) and Caroline (on first) are both looking at it, it's beyond Ellie who was bowling and Adam who looks like he's trying to catch it - in fact he'd need to grow quite a few feet to pull that off! It hasn't got quite as far as Katie (front left) in the outfield but is a bit further out than Tim (centre outfield, all in white). To give you an idea of how fast it's going, look at John running from first... he's not very blurry. The ball is a blur roughly as long as the bat Stu is holding - he really wallopped the ball!

*The exception being the 'snow game' that everyone wants to happen!
