Tramline tunnel vision .....
Damp again . A morning spent tagging calves and shifting cows and calves around. The herds away to Stirling with a load of store lambs ( ones that are sold to other farmers to finish rather than fattening our selves). There was also a breeding sale on so they arrived home with a Lleyn tup.
In between showers this afternoon managed to run the 5 tons of seed barley down to the contractor in the hope that it dries up enough to get some seeding done.
The sun out tonight and a good breeze so it might dry things up a bit. Fingers crossed.
Now sitting registering all the calves we tagged today. You have to send all their details to a central database in Cumbria and they issue each animal its own passport. Just love paperwork !
This is the rat bag in the oat field tonight. He is smiling because he managed to chew one of my work boots today, little git.
