Photography Class

Today involved 2 very exciting things happening! Firstly, my tree fellers came and started stage 1 of Project Veg Plot. The tree which has blighted both mine and Margaret Next Door's gardening projects is being taken down. I forgot to do a before for the before and after but the past 2 blips should give you an idea - they were taken at the close of play today. I realise this will be seen by some most? as cheating. I am shruggy about it and suspect i fall too far beneath the radar for it to be a real issue for anyone...

The other exciting thing was day 1 of my "Digital Photography for Beginners" course. 3 hours a week for 5 weeks. Today we covered aperture, f stop, shutter speed, depth of field and composition. This was the best of my efforts and I'm rather pleased with it! Most importantly to me though, I DIDN'T use the auto setting!

I have however realised that although I love my little point and press camera, and despite it having been more than good enough for me to date, it does have it's limitations. I can see a new camera usurping a Pandora bracelet on my birthday wish list for the big 4-0 next year....
