Poppies: Weeping Window

I went on a trip to Cardiff today to see the Poppies installation at the Senedd, home to the National Assembly for Wales.It is the first venue to host the Weeping Window that lets you see the installation from the outside as well as the inside. This one is composed several thousand handmade ceramic poppies, a fraction of the number in the original feature at the Tower of London to commemorate the lives lost in the 14 - 18 War.
We had an interesting tour of the Senedd chamber and admired the stunning wooden ceiling.(see extra)
After a good lunch we stopped on the way home at the McArthur Glen shopping outlet for a bit of retail therapy. A grand day out!
