Calpe

I eventually managed to get my haircut after a 30 minute wait, and 12 euros, at a local hairdressers. A lot more than I'd pay at home! The best hairdressers are Turkish followed by the Greeks. The most expensive was in Oz!

It's been pouring down in Orba (Spain) all day but about 35 minutes away in Calpe, just along from Benidorm, it was near 27C as my photo's show, The main photo is of Calpe Beach and the extra is of Calpe Rock. The 332 metre high rock is a Nature Reserve. You can walk to the top but it's supposedly closed due to constant accidents. It's the first time we've been to Calpe and all of us we're VERY impressed with this town. Clean, tidy and upmarket - the opposite of Benidorm.

We got back to our villa about 5pm where it was still raining. It's fish and chip evening at the local bar tonight. We've been before and the battered cod is enormous........lovely with a chilled pint of John Smiths!
