Two Cathedrals

After a walk around Le Grande Pressigny which is the main town nearest our holiday accommodation, we drove to St Savin, recommended by our holiday host Ken.

On the way to St Savin we passed through the lovely village of Yzeures-Sur-Creuse where I saw this small forest lit up in autumnal hues and just had to stop to take a photograph. Natures Cathedral.

The extra is of the the 11th Century monastery in St Savin taken from the bridge as it is situated alongside the river. So picturesque. It wasn't open to see its famous 12th century murals.

We then enjoyed a walk around the medieval village and castle of Chauvigny. I hope to return and get an aerial photograph of it.
