Awww!

Yay! No school! It's our last ever September weekend. The council has decided it should be no more. I'm sad. I think it traditionally was a potato picking weekend/harvesting weekend. And although we don't really need it now, it's a really cheap time to get away for a long weekend and enjoy the last of the summer weather. 4 weeks of school is enough, a long weekend is just what we need.
We' be spent the day constructing a rabbit hutch and starting to build a run for the rabbits. Every year D asks for rabbits fur Birthday and Christmas and every year we out him off. Now we're giving in and getting rabbits. Out plan is to get rescued baby rabbits that need homes and are already neutered (so no unexpected extras!) and had all their jabs. However we have to send photos to show that we are providing them with adequate living quarters. D is sooo excited!
I love this photo of them working together to build the hutch. Needless to say when it got to the digging holes got posts for a run they were away :-D
