Herbie Hancock: MontereyJazz Festival

The Monterey Jazz Festival celebrates its 60th year this weekend. For us, its year number 8 as ushers, our friends who host us every year are on number 26. But, there's more: Harry, the head usher guy, is retirng after 51 years.
Tonight's lineup was splendid and spectacular: Regina Carter, a Dizzy Gillespie tribute by his pianist Kenny Barron and trio, and ended with Herbie Hancock. It gets hard to come up with adjectives good enough to describe it all. Pretty cool.
