Girls, Beware!
Here's something you don't see every day, not even in rural Ontario. We're standing on a bridge over the picturesque Credit River at Erin. At one side, the water is vast and almost placid; on the other is a weir where it becomes a torrent as it plunges into the narrow stream below.
Slap-bang in the centre of the weir is this sign. We scratch our heads in bewilderment as we ponder the message it's sending to the young ladies of Erin:
1. Don't eat ice cream before you leap into the water;
2. Don't apply make-up before jumping.
Hmm, both fit the pictogram, but neither seems right; does anyone out there have a better solution?
