Russian Orthodox Church

We finally touched down in Bishkek at 9.15 (4.15am UK time. The airport was a long way from the city, so we didn't get to the guest house till 11.15am. We needed to get money changed and buy water by which time we got a taxi into town for lunch. I had lentil soup -.a veggie diet here will mostly be salad or boiled veg or potatoes.

It is lovely - sunny and warm. The area around here is very flat. There are crops in the field but most fruit and veg are imported from China, as are the poly bags wich lie discarded to blow with the flo.

We called to look at this Russian Orthodox Church when we walked back to the Guest House. Some vendors were selling pies and bread,
