Capercaillie

In the forest behind the holiday cottage lurk one of the UK's most elusive birds, the Capercaillie.  I wanted to photograph one for real and was lucky enough to see a few but despite being a big bird, they are swift aviators so I had to make do with a shot of this spectacular sculpture.
