Cigs

Musselburgh / Railway Bridge

After yesterday's rain it was a pleasant change to have a smattering of sunshine to accompany the Cigstrek today.
Before my minor viral thingy me and the other major shareholder had talked about a bike trip to North Berwick; however she seemed reluctant to allow poorly me to cycle that far. This did at least allow for me to put the idea out there that perhaps a lesser bike ride to QMU and beyond to get another one of the Cigs under the railway bridge  might be a good idea.
Whatever you do, no one mention that it's 39.5km from hers to N Berwick; over the day I clocked up 41.7km. (But if we'd gone to N Berwick, chances are we wouldn't have got the Cigs diversion in)

And even better news; the apple tree fenced off on the railway side of the impenetrable fence yielded 5kg of fruit today; I managed to wedge the bike against the fence and stand on the crossbar and reach over and snaffle some fruit. And a small exploratory sloe harvesting too. So a productive day.
I had hoped we might bump into Trev on the kiltwalk on the cycle paths of Edinburgh today; but as it was my blipencounter for the day was Hell4Murph as I sought out beer and butter and bread in the supermarket.

Sunday. The day of rest.

Pfffttttt......!
