One Crowded Hour

big

Australia has at least 150 'big things' around the country, the first the 1963 vintage Big Scotsman (the mind boggles) in South Australia and everything in between including big pineapples, oranges, trout, barramundi, prawns, merino, cows, guitars...and so it goes on.

Here in Kalamunda there are some fairly substantial gumnuts in a water feature and today I spotted the 9m, and surely in that big category, bobtail lizard.
The fellow with the 'bobby' is Roman, who single handedly sculpted him from a wall of rammed earth, modeled on a resident critter in the garden.
Roman is originally from Northern England and has been here for 15 years or so and is currently developing the block behind the sculpture with town houses incorporating rammed earth.
Will be very interesting to see how his project develops.
