A seat in the sunshine

There was a beautiful light first thing this morning. Very autumnal too. You may not be able to see them here, but the grass is covered with fallen apples. Far too many for us to use even if I baked every appley thing that I could imagine.  I was hoping to find some spiders' webs in the dew, but none to be seen. 
We had an update from our son this morning. He and our daughter-in-law and our grandsons are  currently in Osaka on a family holiday, and having a great time. They are all sushi lovers, even the children, so they are thoroughly enjoying the food too. He wanted to take them to Japan while they're still living in Asia, as it will be far more expensive once they move to Europe.
