The blue helmets

One of the things that I still haven't gotten used to is presence of UN army of blue helmet soldiers.

Luckily, these soldiers are not only here to be scary soldiers. They also do a lot of developmental work. Especially big infrastructural works.
After months of lobbying I managed to get someone to come and see if they could assist with the large infrastructure works on one of my projects.
It was a strange experience, walking around in the neighbourhood with some brazilian soldiers, their interpretor (because they only speak portugese...), a community member and my team.

We caught quiet some attention...
