Leighton Moss

Were lucky  today as we saw three of Leighton Moss's specialities .. bearded tit, otter and  marsh harrier. This was my first sighting of a bearded tit - such lovely coloured birds.  They are there all year but most viewable in the autumn when thy frequent the grit put out on trays for them in a clearing in the reed beds. The otter and the marsh harrier are in extras.

The rest of the day was the ridiculous to follow the sublime as we went to Blackpool. Just as shabby as it was on my last visit 25 years ago. Definitely shabby without the chic!
