The Path to Fleetwith Pike

I had a wonderful walk around Crummock Water this afternoon, stopping half way at Buttermere to tuck into an ice-cream. The sun shone, the lake sparkled, and underfoot it was as boggy as any day in winter. It was such a tonic to have relief from grey skies and rain.

The mountain directly ahead, at the head of the valley, is Fleetwith Pike.
