Northumberland Rock

'Northumberland rocks' have been appearing all over Wooler Common! It seems that local children are decorating rocks, then 'hiding' them for others to find. Finders can re-hide or keep them. Some nice, creative fun for kids! This rock was on one of the benches, for all to see.

After a busy day at work, it was an interesting bus ride home. The main road is shut near Lowick to allow for some re-surfacing, and there are diversions in place. But - surprise, surprise - the one to Wooler hasn't been marked very well, if at all. And this afternoon the bus driver got totally lost, and drove us, in a large single decker bus, for miles down a very narrow country road, surprising other motorists and a large party of  walkers! We did get to Wooler eventually...
