Elderberries

A bumper 'crop' of elderberries ripening on the Common this year which,  together with a profusion of rowan berries, are providing a veritable feast for the birds. Plenty of hazel nuts and walnuts for the squirrels.

A short walk on the Common with MrM early this evening. Spotted two red squirrels in the trees, unfortunately both too far away for a photo or two.
