The Butterfly and the Tiger
Today has been a busy day, even by our standards. Nine o'clock saw Carys and I walking into town to do some jobs and visit Waterstones as Carys wants to get a book for William for his birthday. Two books later (can't resist a buy one get on half price offer) we left Waterstones, Carys happy that she had books for William but not so happy that she came out empty handed. I had intended to let her buy a book with the birthday money we are still to spend, but we just ran out of time and it won't do her any harm.
10.30 saw Carys in the pool for her swimming lesson and by now Jim and William will have been at the gym. After the swimming lesson we had as Carys termed it 'a disaster!' Somehow between the changing rooms and the spectator area and back to the changing rooms via the showers I misplaced the locker key! How I have no idea, I can only guess it fell through the stackable seats on the edge of the pool when I put out stuff down. Anyway I was very embarassed, but they were very nonplussed by it, it seems that it must happen a lot. However the master key failed to be a master enough to open it and they struggled to take it off at the hinges! Finally they got the hinges off but failed with the lock, but luckily there was nothing too bulky in the locker and I managed to get everything out through the gap!
After that Jim and William picked us up and we headed to the Autumn Fair at Williams preschool. Nanna had given them some money each to spend and spend it they did. William insisted on having his face painted as a tiger (a first for him, he usually refuses while Carys nags to be allowed) and Carys had her butterfly done by her old keyworker who was as pleased to see Carys as Carys was to see her.
Daddy and William then had some boys tie at home whilst C and I went to Sainsburys to take advantage of their 25% off clothes, but failed. C wants a onesie like Ws for bed, but the only ones we can find are cotton, not fleece and we both agreed if that was the case she is better off with PJ's with long arms and legs.
Then we were home for some play and a very loud chat with G&G before tea. Tomorrow, on paper is looking no quieter.
