Sock-it-to-me!

We've had a lovely day looking round Downtown Detroit and walking along the riverside. We're impressed with the progress which has been made over the last few years to regenerate this part of the city, in spite of its financial problems.

It was yet another "blip heaven" so choosing my blip was tricky. However my Editor and I eventually settled on this monument to Detroit boxer Joe Louis.

There were lots of opportunities for architectural shots but I particularly liked the view (in the extra) of the walkway connecting the Guardian Building with 1, Woodward Avenue; it's about 14 stories up.
