Rugged Country but beautiful vista

Today was a long day.  I drove about 600 miles on my way to work in a remote corner of the Pacific Northwest for a client.  It rained most of the way, which is not typical of most of this area.  I stopped in a very small town in Idaho for the night.  I would have thought that at this time of the year, the hotels would have off season rates.  But I was informed by the desk clerk that this is still the "summer season" as rafters, fisherman and now hunters are staying in the area.  I ended up getting the last room in the hotel for an very expensive rate (at least by my standards).  At least the room had a hot tub!  :)
