London day out

A good day out in London. Got the tube to North Greenwich then the new Emirates cable car from North Greenwich to Royal Victoria Docks. Today was the opening day for the new Crystal museum at Royal Victoria Docks (pictured here in background with the cable cars overhead). The museum is dedicated to sustainable urban living. Being the opening day there were long queues so we didn't go in but had a good look round the local area. We then went back on the cable car to North Greenwich and got the River Bus up the Thames to Embankment. Had a drink in the Tattershall Castle (a bar on a boat moored on the Thames) then walked up to Covent Garden for a meal in La Tasca - a Spanish restaurant which serves gluten free tapas and gluten free beer. Then the tube home in time to pop round to Maggie & Liam's for a drink and to see my niece, Emma

A good day.
