Burnt tones

Hub and I decided to get up and out early doors as the forecast was good until around midday. It proved to be the case too!

After a quick breakfast we headed to Pennington Flash for a good long walk in the bright sunshine......obviously camera came too! Hubs foot is holding up well these days, not 100% but much better than it was.

I took lots of shots but have opted for this as it shows the creeping advances of autmnal colour, when I popped the orange......I quite liked the effect, and I think it should qualify for Biker Bears Flower Friday challenge ;-)

We had a coffee and shared a bacon roll from the lady in the van......sat on a benchbeside the lake in the sun, really lovely. We headed back to the car, by which time the clouds were rolling in and on our way home it started to rain, just as forecast.

We stopped off at daughters to have a look at her new driveway, which is,looking really good, almost done!

I made some crab and mackrel pate, a really quick and easy recipe, which we have had on toast for lunch....and have spent most of the afternoon editing photos and doing emails.
Its been raining the whole time too :-/

Oh yes, nearly forget, we have decided to team up with our oher two friends at the pub quiz, as there are many teams of 6+........good news is we came second :-))
